Not Every Therapist Is The Right Fit. Find Out If I Am.

A 30-All new clients begin with a free 30-minute consultation. The consultation gives us a chance to get to know one another and see whether we're a good fit for ongoing therapy. I like to think of the consultation as a gut check.

You can learn more about how I work, ask questions, and share what brings you to therapy. I can learn more about what you're looking for, what you've already tried, and whether the kind of therapy I provide seems to match what you need. It’s a good time to get a sense of whether we may work well together before you’re asked to provide a more detailed clinical history.

If we'd both like to move forward, I'll ask you to complete a brief screening to help me determine whether my practice and outpatient telehealth setting appear appropriate for your needs.

Part of my responsibility as a therapist is recognizing the limits of my own training and practice. If I don't believe I'm the right therapist or that my practice is the right setting for what you need, I'll let you know and, when appropriate, share resources or referral options that may help you identify your next step.

If we decide to proceed, you'll schedule your first session, where we'll begin a more comprehensive assessment to better understand what you're experiencing and start planning your treatment.

Weekly Sessions To Start

Unlike some therapy practices where clients schedule their next appointment based on what the therapist has open in the upcoming weeks, I offer my clients a standing schedule.

When you schedule after your consultation, we will find a day and time for your sessions. For example, if you decide to meet with me on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., then I will set a recurring appointment for you on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m.

Weekly work gives us enough consistency to build a relationship, develop momentum, notice patterns over time, and build the capacities needed for deeper work.

I do have varied times open during the week for rescheduling, because life happens.

As your needs change later in treatment, we'll discuss stepping down your frequency. But biweekly or occasional therapy is not an option I offer for new clients.

We May Be a Good Fit If:

  • You want to understand yourself more deeply.

  • You're open to exploring both mind and body.

  • You're interested in trauma-informed care.

  • You're looking for a collaborative relationship.

  • You value curiosity more than quick fixes.

  • You're open to experimenting with new ways to understand and care for yourself.

  • You're willing to be an active participant in therapy, both during sessions and between them.

We May Not Be a Good Fit If:

  • You need services beyond what a solo outpatient telehealth practice can safely provide.

  • Your primary treatment needs fall outside the scope of my training and practice.

  • You don't have reliable internet or privacy for video sessions.

  • You can't attend a weekly standing appointment during my available hours.

  • You're looking to begin therapy on a biweekly, occasional, or as-needed basis.

  • You're not open to engaging with the work between sessions when it is clinically useful.

Before You Schedule

I currently offer therapy appointments during the following hours.

SUNDAYS

10:00 AM - 4:30 PM

MONDAYS

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

TUESDAY

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

WEDNESDAYS

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

If we decide to work together, you'll begin therapy with a weekly standing appointment. That means the same day and time is reserved specifically for you every week.

The consultation calendar below reflects my current availability for ongoing therapy. The times you see reflect the standing appointment times I have available for new clients. Please schedule a consultation only if one of the available standing appointment times works for you on an ongoing weekly basis.

The calendar displays openings up to 15 days in advance. If no consultation times show, my caseload is currently full, and I'm not accepting new clients.

You can find more information about standing appointments, cancellations, and attendance on the Hours & Scheduling page.

After You Schedule

Once you’ve scheduled your consultation, you’ll receive a confirmation email with some additional information about working with me. Please read it before we meet. It covers my approach to therapy, what participation in therapy looks like, what you can expect from me, and practical details.

You’ll also receive three reminders before we meet - two by email and one text 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.

Consultations take place via HIPAA-secure video. You will receive the link in each message. There’s nothing to download; just click the link to join.
